Second-hand clothes, a runway and a room full of decision-makers.
Fashion students from UAL were invited to buy clothes from Sue Ryder charity shops and upcycle them into new pieces. On 21 May 2025 they showed their work on a runway in front of a room full of stakeholders, industry leaders and corporate leaders. The show was sponsored by Lloyds Bank.

Used for
Campaign to attract corporate retail partners

The approach
Backstage, runway and the room.
I photographed the whole event: the students and models getting ready backstage, the runway itself, and the guests watching from their tables. The story covers both the people who made the pieces and the people the show was for.

What it made possible
A story that brings in new partners.
Sue Ryder use the photographs in a campaign, and as an ongoing storytelling tool, to attract more corporate retail partners to donate clothes to their charity shops. "Matt is an absolute dream to work with. He has an extraordinary talent for storytelling through photography." Elly Rowland, Sue Ryder
